The Role
We are seeking a qualified Carpenter for the role of Passive Fire Technician to join our Brisbane Fire team to assist with all facets of the passive fire service delivery.
You will work with all aspects of passive fire; fire door testing, repairs and replacements, fire rating, fire sealing and penetrations including fire dampers. You will assist with routine maintenance and defect repairs, providing technical advice, problem solving and work alongside your team to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance for all tasks.
Key Competencies
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Cert III in Carpentry – Fire experience highly regarded, including Cert II Asset Maintenance
- Desire to upskill and increase knowledge relating to passive fire systems and products
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
- Reliable with clients and scheduling
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a pleasant phone manner
- Attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases
- Be willing to undergo a national police background check
- Current QLD driver’s license
