LEARN ON THE JOB – Mechanical Trade Assistant / Motorcycle Tyre Fitter

Tyres for Bikes in Brisbane has been a leader in the industry for over 40 years
and are looking to develop a top-notch Tyre Fitter. We are a family owned and
run business providing great products and excellent customer service,
specialising in all motorcycle tyres.
This is a full-time and/or part-time job for the right person with the right energy.
Under supervision, you would be responsible for…
- Wheel and tyre fitting and repair
- General bike servicing (Brake pad change, chain & sprocket replacement etc.)
- Aftermarket parts installation and commissioning
- Stock Control includes receiving, labelling & putting away stock
- Workshop care includes but is not limited to cleaning, arranging stock, and
preparing for the day. - Customer Service including answering phone calls & inquiries, quotations, etc
The successful candidate must possess enthusiasm and have a natural curiosity to
learn the following skills and gain experience to become…
- A Qualified Tyre Fitter
- First and foremost you will be reliable and honest and have a great work ethic
- Be well organised and have a passion for all things mechanical and
motorcycles or be willing to learn - Have the ability to work unsupervised where needed, as well as in a team
situation - If you can ride a motorcycle, even better! Or we will encourage and assist you
to get your bike license. - Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Some Saturday work is also part of the deal
- Work directly with customers, so be able to talk bikes and have decent
communication skills - Consider taking on training and perhaps a full apprenticeship
Remuneration Dependent on Skills and Experience.
