The Role
At Infinite Aged Care, Housekeeping Assistants play a critical role in providing quality housekeeping and cleaning services which focus on infection control and ensure a safe, healthy living environment for residents.
Working closely with the Facility Manager and the Hotel Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, main entrance, outdoor entertainment areas, admin offices and dining halls as well as a providing laundry services and generally ensuring that residents daily needs are met.
This role is a physical role whereby you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

Compassionate, with a customer service mindset, you are a strong communicator and problem solver who ‘thinks on your feet’, builds supportive relationships, and strives for the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and order within the entire facility.
At Infinite Age Care, we hire on attitude and aptitude, so you DO NOT need experience in the aged care sector, you do however need to be aligned with our philosophy and values, have strong communication skills, be computer literate and a commitment to resident wellbeing as well as the following,
- Demonstrated cleaning experience required.
- Ability to work off set checklists on a daily basis and follow agreed procedures for safety.
- Ability to work with chemicals, hazardous products and heated equipment in a very safe manner.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and high empathy as interacting with residents is a daily occurrence.
- Ability to turn up to shift on time, be ready to start your shifts and follow the day's activities in a positive manner.
- Adopt a safety-first approach to daily tasks and supporting colleagues at all times so everyone goes home safe and positive.
