Location: Fitzroy Victoria and travel to BSL sites
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time or Permanent Part-Time
Salary: $118,802.05 to $ $123,261.96 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 11.5% superannuation. ( pro-rata for part-time employment )

This position supports the work of the Chaplaincy Department, working across the four settings of activity recognised by Chaplaincy. The role includes:
- Working alongside the other members of the Chaplaincy and Diocesan Partnerships team this role proactively provides ongoing pastoral and spiritual care, support and presence to staff and volunteers, Chaplains in this role
- Sustaining a necessary and appropriate level of discretion and confidentiality consistent with a pastoral care role within the organisation
- Embodying and promoting BSL values which encourage and empower all staff to create a culture of work life and collegial respect
- Supporting and collaborating with other divisions and teams to strengthen wellbeing and pastoral care through systems as we build individual and organisational capacity.
- Proactively providing ongoing pastoral and spiritual care, support and presence to staff and volunteers, as they go about their work in the day-to-day operation of the organisation, including providing a kindness dimension to work life.

What we are looking forWe are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the mission of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
- Qualifications in theology/ counselling/ pastoral care or similar disciplines
- Relevant proof of successful completion in at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or its equivalent in another discipline
- Relevant experience and knowledge in all aspects of pastoral care within organisations, as well as to people within the wider community experiencing disadvantage
- Ability to build relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated commitment to the social justice implications of many faith traditions
- This role is open to both lay and ordained people. Anglican Clergy or Laity must be in good standing, and licensed, or able to be licenced, in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne. Ministers or lay people of other denominations and faiths should be able to demonstrate they are of good standing within their faith tradition.
