BCE Surveying is a Licensed and Engineering Surveying company operating throughout Australia with offices in Perth, Bunbury and Sydney.

Specialising in providing innovative solutions to all aspects of Civil Construction, SMP, Machine Guidance, Investigation Surveys, Terrestrial Scanning and Mobile Laser Scanning most recently Utility and 3D Subsurface mapping services.

BCE run the Trimble MX8 which is a premium survey grade mobile laser imaging system capturing fully synchronized, high-quality georeferenced point clouds and high-resolution imagery, this vehicle-mounted system is the only one of its kind in Australia.

Additionally, BCE also runs the IDS GeoRadar System which is a mobile GPR system (CART) capturing subsurface artefacts as high-resolution imagery similar to a CAT Scan of the ground.

They are currently looking for an experienced Surveying Technician to join their team in Bunbury.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Conduct Site Surveys . Assist Surveyors in planning, organising and interpreting plans, regulations and codes of practice;
  • Prepare Blueprints and Specifications . Prepare sketches, working drawings and specifications;
  • Estimate Material Needs and Costs . Calculate costs and estimate time scales;
  • Inspect Construction Sites . Inspect work for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards and collect data using surveying instruments and photogrammetric equipment whilst performing routine computations and plotting preliminary data;
  • Perform Material Testing . Take soil samples and analyse them, as required as well as conduct tests on construction materials and elements as required at the surveying site.
  • Prepare Project Reports . Prepare, edit and revise plans, survey maps, charts and drawings to co-ordinate works.
To be considered you will need a relevant AQF equivalent Diploma level qualification or higher and at least two years of post-qualification employment experience as a surveying technician OR at least three years of relevant employment experience as a surveying technician.

This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $79,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
