The Role
As our new Veterinary Surgeon (Veterinarian), you will:
- Examine and triage pets to promptly diagnose their short and long-term health issues and recommend best practice emergency treatment
- Consult directly with clients and referring clinics regarding immediate, solutions-based care for their pets in an empathetic and caring manner
- Perform soft tissue surgery at a sound level – orthopaedic surgical expertise will also be highly regarded
- Have the ability to prepare and deliver internal knowledge & skills training to the entire team
- Ideally possess a keen interest and skill set in the productive animal space, particularly cattle, sheep, alpacas as this is an ever-growing area within the practice.

About You
Your qualifications are certainly essential to your success in this role, and it is expected that you will demonstrate talent and skill as a competent Veterinarian.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Veterinary Science and eligibility for registration in Victoria.
- The ability to live or be willing to relocate to within 20 minutes of the clinic.
- A passion for small-town veterinary practice, including large animal work, together with the ability to build client relationships.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to veterinary care.
- The ability to adapt to a flexible working schedule, including some on-call work.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
