About us:

The Social Work Department addresses the impact of various factors on health and provides tailored support in both hospital and community settings across Central Queensland. Rockhampton Hospital is dedicated to delivering expert care through specialized services for the local community.

About the role:

The Senior Social Worker is responsible for providing clinical social work services, as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the Rockhampton Business Unit (primarily Rockhampton Hospital).

Senior Social Workers provide complex case management, delivery of clinical services including psychosocial assessment, therapy interventions, monitoring and evaluation of high-quality social work services for patients/clients of Queensland Health within the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.

They are lead clinicians for portfolios of responsibility and provide supervision and support to less experienced social workers.

About you:

  • Possession of a degree qualification in Social Work from a recognised tertiary institution
  • Professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $13,113 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
