The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Communications, the Senior Media and Content Advisor will develop and deliver high-quality, accurate communication materials including event briefings, media Q&As, media releases, media responses, speeches, presentations, and supporting collateral for the Minister's Office and Office of the CEO.

The Senior Media and Content Advisor, will contribute to the development of high-level narratives, ensuring strong and consistent key messaging within the health, ageing, and mental health infrastructure portfolios.

A strong writer and editor, the Senior Media and Content Advisor will play an important role in developing and maintaining up-to-date key messages across the Authority's program of works including reactive media activity and contribute to the creation of engaging branded written and visual assets to enable effective communication with key audiences across multiple platforms.

Are you?

  • A person who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a background in media relations and issues management.
  • Someone with excellent organisational and Ministerial media and event management skills
    • Someone with strong writing, editing and content creation skills across multiple channels and for multiple audiences
    • Able to perform your work under time pressure, with an eye for detail
    • Someone who can proactively identify and escalate communications opportunities and risks

We are looking for:

  • Someone with demonstrated expertise, flair, and creativity in providing corporate strategic communications advice in a dynamic environment.
  • Teamwork: A professional who can easily establish relationships with people at all levels, provide guidance and mentorship to others, and promotes trust.
  • A self-starter who has extensive knowledge of the political landscape and who is experienced in handling media responses.
