We search for a talented Territory Sales Manager for Automotive for V ictoria, Tasmania, and South Australia . The person we want is genuinely customer focused, with a real passion for developing and growing the Gates portfolio. The role is based in Dandenong South, Victoria.

This is an autonomous role, reporting to the GM-Automotive Replacement of Gates Australia Pty. Ltd.

The role involves traveling, majority of the time is field based. For this reason, it includes a fully maintained company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone and a very rewarding sales incentive bonus. Occasionally the person is required after business hours work when there are trade shows.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Lead sales activity in designated territory and meet sales objectives
  • Generate additional revenue from existing customers
  • Penetrate new markets and customers by identifying sales leads and prospects
  • Execute plans and strategies in line with the country Automotive strategy with designated channels.
  • Create and deliver technical and commercial presentations and proposals
  • Conduct training for distributors or end-users about Gates automotive products
  • Establish solid relationship with all major distributors, decision makers and channels in Vic/Tas/SA.
  • Manage the performance of channel partners
  • Complete reports requested by management on time in an acceptable form, including populating a Customer Relationship Management system

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity to this advertised position.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry is advantageous, but we are keen to hear from anyone with successful sales experience
  • A mechanical aptitude
  • Technical experience is an advantage

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Can influence high level engagement and build relationships
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Can work autonomously, stay driven and focused, yet be collaborative in a team
  • Thorough knowledge of selling and marketing techniques.
  • Strong interest and passion in automotive
  • Positivity and resilience
