Minutes to Seconds is looking for a Power BI Architect in a Permanent role in Melbourne.
RequirementsJob Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and analytics, and will collaborate with stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- BI Architecture & Strategy: Develop and implement Power BI architecture, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Data Modeling: Design efficient data models, star/snowflake schemas, and implement DAX calculations.
- ETL & Data Integration: Work with SQL, Azure, and other data sources to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Power BI.
- Report & Dashboard Development: Create visually appealing, interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
- Governance & Security: Implement row-level security (RLS), access controls, and compliance best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize DAX queries, Power Query, and report performance for large datasets.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with business users, data engineers, and analysts to define reporting requirements.
- Training & Documentation: Guide teams on Power BI best practices and maintain technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and report development.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and other cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL, and database design principles.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience with Power BI Service (Workspaces, Gateways, Apps, Deployment Pipelines).
