About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead our Medical Centre team. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficiency across reception, administration, and compliance functions.
Key responsibilities include staff management, recruitment, training, rostering, and fostering a positive team culture. You will also play a crucial role in accreditation processes, financial management—including Medicare batching, private billing, and debtor collection—and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day administration and reception operations, leading both medical and administrative teams.
- Manage staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, performance appraisals, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with Accreditation Standards, including preparation and accreditation processes.
- Handle financial responsibilities, including Medicare batching, private billing, debtor collection, and banking.
- Stay up to date with legislation and ensure compliance with Medicare, TAC, WorkCover, and other statutory requirements.
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager or 2IC in a General Practice setting.
- Strong knowledge of current accreditation standards and Practice Incentive Payment requirements, including MyMedicare.
- Sound understanding of the Medicare Benefits Schedule, including DVA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high standard of professionalism, values, and ethics.
- Experience with Best Practice clinical software.
