Description:
We are looking for a Senior Electrical Project Developer to join a household name and undertake the key activities of:- Developing project scope to meet requirements.
- Coordinating design deliverables for projects in delivery, and
- Acting as the key technical contact throughout a project lifecycle.
The role requires the ability to develop complete, accurate, optimised and consistent proposals for projects in compliance with relevant technical, work health & safety, environmental, budget, project schedule, statutory, and quality requirements.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:
• During the development stage , develop project scope regarding the design, delivery, and operational stages of projects requiring the ability to:
• Clearly identify, define, and articulate project options and constraints.
• Clearly develop project scope engaging relevant stakeholders and SME as required.
• Provide timely and relevant information to develop project-specific schedules, resource requirements, risk assessments and cost estimates.
• Engage and coordinate relevant internal and external stakeholder inputs and obtain required deliverables; and
• Prepare reports ranging from feasibility studies to detailed scoping reports which assess all stakeholder inputs and project requirements.
• During the delivery stage , facilitate technical deliverables requiring the ability to;
•Engage and coordinate TransGrid design teams to complete design deliverables in accordance with project requirements and schedule.
• Engage and coordinate external design partners to complete design deliverables including staged packages in accordance with TransGrid requirements, project requirements and schedule.
• Coordinate detailed design reviews for externally completed designs; and
• Coordinate responses to technical RFIs
Selection criteria
• Tertiary qualification at degree level in Electrical Engineering or alternate engineering discipline with relevant industry experience.
• Project experience in transmission line and substation projects in either project development, cost estimation, project management or design.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards and Government policy guidelines, which govern safety, engineering design, and environmental assessment for the implementation of engineering projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills to provide specialist technical advice
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
