Financial Controller (Ac7850)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Financial Controller with a long established, multi-franchised dealer situated in Townsville on the Queensland Coast. This dealership is part of a privately owned group, that has been going from strength to strength. They have a strong mixture of brands and have growth plans in place. This role oversees a small administration team and experience with the Era / Pentana system would be well received.
You will need to possess exceptionally good communication abilities and attention to detail, and be capable of leading the administration team. Above all else, you must show stability in your employment and be able to commit to this role for the long term. Your main duties in this role will include:

• Plan, direct, monitor and control the activities of the Administration Department
• Day to day, month end and year end accounting and management reports
• Ensure all statutory returns are completed
• Compliance oversight
• Strategic approach to financial management with Cash flow, forecasting and financial analysis
• Reports for financiers, banks and franchisors
• Consultation with suppliers, creditors and debtors control
• Maintain, manage and train an efficient administration team
• Assisting external accountants in the annual audit and preparation of annual accounts.

Applicants for this position must have experience either as a Financial Controller, or a Senior Automotive Accountant. The position will work closely with the Dealer Principal, as well as the senior management team.
