Your New Role - Import & Export Operator

• Plan and implement import/export activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of company and its agents and clients.
• On behalf of agents and clients, manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in and /or out of the country in accordance with company policy and procedures and to comply with relevant country of destination laws and international law.
• Communicate with export and import and related authorities, also with customers and suppliers in all relevant countries and territories, as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
• Liaise, advise and direct external companies and contractors on the movement of goods.
• Manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient and cost-effective execution of import/export activities.
• For imports review paperwork provided for completeness and correctness and provide to the Customs Department
• Plans and investigate strategically effective and relevant transport methods, which will optimally meet the needs of company and its agents and customers when arranging the import/export of goods.
• Provide quotes to customers and agents
• Customer Service
• Invoicing local and overseas - Profit & loss and job management
• Trace shipments through transit points up to final destination and advise customer service as needed
• Other ad-hoc operational tasks as allocated from time to time.

• Experience in the related industry within Australia.
• The ability to focus on achieving specific results or goals.
• Import & Export Operator Experience
• Can handle moderate stress and adapts to change.
