We are looking for an experienced NDIS Team Leader to join our growing team. This role will be an exciting opportunity to help support and implement change for those living with a disability.

About the role

As the primary contact for a portfolio of NDIS clients, their families and a team of support workers, the Team Leader is a key role to ensure high-quality and individualised services are offered to clients, where they have choice and control.

This fast paced role is with a rapidly growing organisation, and requires someone with excellent communications skills, high energy and strong leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the support service delivery team and client outcomes and primary point of contact for participants and key stakeholders when needed (including managing client's enquiries, complaints, and feedback)
  • Day-to-day management of NDIS services and business operations, ensuring efficient, safe and high quality of client supports and services
  • Support workers recruitment and workforce scheduling and planning
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and systems
  • Generate sustainable new business revenue via approaches and negotiations with warm and cold prospects
  • Undertake relationship building activities with regular/prospective clients to establish business agreements and convert leads into prospects
  • Build and maintain a viable and stable customer base
  • Assessing client needs and recommending and explaining the relevant NDIS services offered by Choices & Rights
  • Consulting with cold and warm leads to provide advice and solutions to participants and help them understand the process
  • Regularly monitor the industry trends and competitor activity, and report regarding the business development opportunities to the Senior Manager
  • Other ADHOC duties/projects assigned by the Director/GM

Skills and experience

To Be Successful

  • Knowledge of the NDIS Operational Guidelines
  • Tertiary level qualifications preferred, will consider lesser qualifications with experience in disability sector experience
  • Experience and skills to work competently alongside clients, their family and carers in their local community to build their capacity to participate in the community
  • Knowledge of case management practices and principles
  • Demonstrated experience managing a workforce to set guidelines and procedures
  • An understanding of the various policies and procedures required to deliver effective services to clients
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills with the capacity to prepare reports and correspondence in clear and concise language
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, measure and report on outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Competence in the use of computer programs and can enter, modify and extract data accurately
  • Well-developed work organisation skills, the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
  • Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, Disability Act 2006 and other relevant legislation
  • Proven ability to think innovatively, affect change, and shape positive workplace culture
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children's Blue Card
  • NDIS Worker Clearance Check
  • Current National Police Check
