Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.
Today we employ over 1800 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 1.5 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight every year across the country.
The Role:
We are seeking local MC Driver’s to join the team in the Rocklea for local pickup and delivery work. Local drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods and the loading, unloading and load restraint of freight.
These roles are full-time permanent positions.
Rosters available:
- Tuesday to Saturday, 6am start
- Sunday to Thursday, 6am start
- Working with temperature sensitive produce for local pickup and delivery runs
- Ensuring the safe and timely handling of company freight
- Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery paperwork including the use of in-vehicle technology
- Interacting with clients in a professional manner
- Working closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight
The candidates we are looking for will:
- Hold a current & valid MC licence (as a minimum)
- Experience in relevant licence class and reversing onto docks
- Swinglifter experience highly valued
- Current MSIC &/or ASIC card (or willingness to obtain)
- A commitment to workplace health and safety
- A motivated and positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
- Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (preferred)
- Flexibility with start & finish times with the willingness to work weekends
To be successful for this role applicants must:
- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Provide a current traffic print out
