Mk2 Recruitment are seeking an experienced Accounts and Payroll Officer to join our in-house team at our head office in Unley. This role will support our CFO with effective financial management and administration of the Mk2 Recruitment Finance Department and ensuring financial transactions are efficiently and accurately processed and accurately maintained so that financial reporting supports management of Mk2’s Operations.Mk2 Recruitment is an Australian privately owned recruitment company specialising in the Infrastructure, Mining, Civil, Construction, Engineering, Defence, Oil & Gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Run weekly integrations from Astute into Xero
- Lodge STP filing
- Setting up payroll interpreters for various clients/awards so that timesheets are correctly interpreted.
- Run the payroll and preparation of bank files and weekly reports.
- Prepare the client invoices and preparation of uploads for financing.
- Review payroll creditors
- Preparation of quarterly superannuation submissions
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Relevant demonstrated experience in finance and administration including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office suite, XERO & Astute Payroll systems
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to support liaison with staff, key external stakeholders, contractors, partners, suppliers, and consultants
- Excellent organisational skills, flexibility and ability to work well in a team
