THE POSITION
- Prepare fresh, nutritious meals at the college
- Contribute to menu ideas using local ingredients
- Monitor stock and minimize wastage
- Adhere to hygiene standards and following proper food handling practices
- Deliver healthy choices and guidance to the future generation
- Ability to work alone and make decisions
- High level of food safety and allergen management & HACCP
- Understanding of budgets and ordering stock
THE PERSON
- Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
- Current Working with Children Check & National police check
- Experience with cooking in bulk quantities
- Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
- Passionate about healthy and nutritious food
- Availability across the weekend for occasional shifts
- Self-driven and enthusiastic
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Strong communication
