The Opportunity…
We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Asset Project Manager to lead and optimise the maintenance planning and work order ticketing processes for water infrastructure assets. Leveraging work management systems, asset data, and both current and backlog reporting, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline maintenance workflows and optimise cost-allocation processes. Your role will support the strategic direction of the asset division, whilst mentoring and developing the next generation of talent within your team. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the efficiency and sustainability of our asset management operations.
Duties include
- Oversee and optimise maintenance workflows, ensuring effective resource allocation for both planned and reactive maintenance activities across water infrastructure assets.
- Analyse asset performance data, historical trends, and maintenance metrics to inform workload distribution and develop targeted improvement strategies that align with the partnership’s strategic objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external teams (asset management, site, safety, Zero Harm, environmental, and commercial functions) to enhance collaboration in the execution of maintenance activities.
- Ensure project delivery aligns with industry standards, financial objectives, and compliance with relevant regulatory, legislative, and audit requirements.

About you…
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading teams in high-volume maintenance work order environments (water industry experience advantageous).
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of developing business proposals and improvement plans.
- Solid financial acumen, with expertise in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, committed to fostering team development and individual growth.
