The Role
Within the Logistics Management function an APS 5 Integrated Logistics Support Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve complex logistics inventory and asset management within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to have and maintain a well developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements.
An APS 5 Integrated Logistics Support Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to their area of responsibility. They will interpret and provide advice within the Logistics Management function area based on legislation, policy and procedures. They will undertake technical research and analysis, conduct reviews, assessment and perform procedural, clerical and administrative support work to achieve results.
The APS 5 Integrated Logistics Support Officer may coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. They may be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance. They are expected to be capable of reviewing and developing the quality of work undertaken by others and identifying opportunities for on-the-job training within a work unit.
The APS 5 Integrated Logistics Support Officer may be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

The Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB) purpose is to deliver military aviation systems to the capability managers. AASB is responsible for the acquisition and through-life support of all Army helicopters and tactical unmanned aerial systems through both Project Offices (PO) and Systems Program Offices (SPO) within Australia and overseas.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate has recent experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS). Also, experience in the use of logistics systems to maintain accurate logistic architecture and configurations to facilitate effective and efficient ILS support.
To be successful in and role, you will have excellent communication skills, the ability to negotiate to achieve desired outcomes with a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to work well in a team environment.
