Overview: Australian Employment Force Pty Ltd is seeking a Full Time skilled and experienced Mobile Phone Repair Technician to join our dynamic team at our Karratha store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing components in mobile devices, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnostics:
- Diagnose faults in mobile phones, including hardware and software issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify the root cause of problems.
Repair:
- Repair or replace damaged components, such as screens, batteries, cameras, and circuit boards.
- Solder and desolder components using specialized tools.
- Perform software updates and troubleshooting.
Testing:
- Test repaired mobile phones to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Conduct quality assurance tests on repaired devices.
Customer Service:
- Provide technical support to customers over the phone, email, or in person.
- Explain technical information to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, including spare parts and equipment.
- Order and receive spare parts as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mobile phone hardware and software.
- Knowledge of common mobile phone brands and models.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in soldering and desoldering techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer service orientation.
Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in electronics or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in mobile phone repair (preferred).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Technician, Samsung Certified Technician).
Work Environment:
- Mobile phone repair shop or service center.
- Physical demands: Standing, sitting, working with small tools.
- Potential hazards: Exposure to chemicals and electronic components.
Career Progression: With experience and advanced training, Mobile Phone Repair Technicians can progress to roles such as:
- Mobile Phone Repair Shop Manager
- Technical Trainer
- Field Service Technician
