About the Opportunity
With our continued growth, we have had an exciting, challenging and rewarding full time Monday - Friday position become available for a Transport Logistics Coordinator to join our team, across our Coleman Cranes operations in Port Hedland.
This role will have you responsible for the day-to-day planning of all heavy vehicle movements for the operations, utilising our internal web-based business management system, whilst also assisting with Maintenance Planning and ensuring compliance with all legislative and client requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Undertake the co-ordination of all heavy vehicle and driver movements.
- Prepare work/shift rosters for all operations.
- Ensure contracts are being serviced in accordance with their terms and conditions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and weekly reports.
- Check cartage dockets to ensure their accuracy.
- Assist in the management of the Fatigue Management Plan. Ensure that all driver/operators submit accurate and timely trip sheets and comply with requirements.
- Assist in the management of the OHS Plan.
- Assist with the toolbox meetings (held at least monthly) with driver/operators.
- Recruitment process of new drivers/operators.
- Performance management.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
- Current valid C Class Drivers Licence – MC Desirable
- Experience using maintenance/operational business management systems
- Hold or able to obtain a current National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to implement and deliver policies and procedures
- Strategic Thinking, Planning & Problem-solving ability
- Experience with Registered Mine Site operations and DEMIRS would be an advantage
