Job Description
We are currently looking for a Bar & Gaming Attendant to join our team at Oaks Gladstone Grand Hotel. This casual position will have the opportunity to work across both the gaming and bar departments of the Hotel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Accurately taking and processing guest orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Overseeing the gaming area, ensuring guests comply with all gaming regulations, providing assistance when needed, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all players
- Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of our beverage menu, memorizing its contents, and providing expert recommendations based on guest preferences
- Preparing and serving drinks to guests with attention to detail and a focus on presentation
- Ensuring strict adherence to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) standards and guidelines
- Offering exceptional customer service, consistently going above and beyond to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for each guest
Qualifications
- A friendly, approachable, and positive attitude, with a natural ability to engage and build rapport with guests
- Previous experience in waitstaff, bar service, or a similar hospitality role, with a strong understanding of the demands of the industry
- A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) qualification, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Impeccable personal presentation, with a professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal
- A reliable and punctual work ethic, with the ability to act with a sense of urgency when required to meet guest needs and operational demands
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts
- A commitment to being available to work weekends, ensuring seamless service for our guests throughout the week
