About the Role
Due to ongoing growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit an Insolvency Manager in either our Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra office. We operate a collegiate work model where you will work directly with Principals and are actively encouraged and supported to pursue your own career objectives.
This role will provide you with exposure to a full range of formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administrations, liquidation, receiverships, and bankruptcy as well as informal engagements such as investigative accounting and restructuring/turnaround engagements.
Tasks could include a mix of:
- In conjunction with the Principals, oversee the administration of formal and informal insolvency matters, including preparation of statutory reports with limited supervision and providing guidance to your direct reports about the day-to-day requirements of the appointment.
- Maintain a register of appointments that the team is responsible for and ensure tasks and timelines are set weekly for the advancement of those appointments, providing regular updates to the responsible Principal.
- Complete investigations into an entity’s finances including the analysis of financial statements, accounting, and business records and provide recommendations to your Senior Manager/Principal as to the recommended course of action to achieve desired outcomes.
- Correspond with all stakeholders over the phone and in writing, prepare written responses as required.
- Maintain records and ensure statutory guidelines are met.
- Ensure that junior team members are adhering to the firm’s standards and processes and that the instructions on matters are being completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that junior team are provided with additional instructions and guidance as required to assist in the completion of tasks and ensuring an active follow-up as required.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of insolvency experience in a similar role with a similar client base.
- Well-developed insolvency technical knowledge and capable of managing multiple files.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a similar field.
