- Employment Type: Fixed Term, 5 Year Leadership Position (until April 2030)
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Salary Range: Assistant Principal AP 1 $145,401 to AP 3 $152,543 FTE Gross per annum
- This position holds a substantive permanent teaching position in the Diocese.

About The Role
The following six domains outline the role of the Assistant Principal - Administration as it is envisaged in Catholic schools in the Diocese of Cairns. Following each domain is the Statement of Performance Competency followed by Performance Indicators.
- FAITH LEADERSHIP : To share in the essential Mission of the Church as a leader within the school Faith community.
- EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP : To support learning and teaching of the school.
- STAFF LEADERSHIP : To develop self and others as the Assistant Principal – Administration.
- ORGANISATIONAL LEADERSHIP : To support the Principal in the management of the school.
- COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP : To engage and work with the community as the Assistant Principal – Administration.
- STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP : To lead improvement, innovation and change as determined by the Principal.
- Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Church.
- Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.
- Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
- Leadership experience:
- Demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership.
- Demonstrated administrative ability.
- Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships.
