About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to support our Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) program You’ll work closely with allied health clinicians to deliver high-quality care, helping clients maintain independence and improve their daily functioning.
This role offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older people within the community.
- Implement prescribed allied health programs in community, home, or Centre-based settings.
- Support clients in achieving optimal functioning and assist with daily living activities.
- Facilitate group sessions and attend STRC team meetings.
- Set up and maintain equipment for clients at home.
- Manage referrals, waitlists, and caseloads, and contribute to policy development.
- Promote STRC services and meet key performance targets.
- Handle complaints following Villa Maria Catholic Homes’ policies and procedures.
- Identify and recommend improvements to program processes to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
About you
- Certificate/Diploma in Aged Care, Community Services, or similar field.
- Experience delivering exercise/health education programes for diverse clients.
- Knowledge of ageing and associated conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in building professional relationships and preparing reports.
- Understanding of aged care funding streams.
