About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real impact in people’s lives? As a Community Support Worker in our Allambie shared living accommodation, you'll play a key role in empowering people with disability to live independently and be engaged in their community. Whether working one-on-one or as part of a dynamic and supportive team, you'll be providing hands-on support to help our clients achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives.
You will have flexible availability to work day shifts and over night shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Support clients to live an active and independent life by participating in community programs
Implement positive behaviour support strategies in line with behaviour support plans
Assist with medication administration, personal care, hygiene, and daily living activities
Communicate with families and stakeholders about client progress
Help with household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and menu planning
Maintain accurate records and progress notes
Learn and develop full competency around each clients’ plans to ensure safety and workplace compliance
Must have drivers licence and comprehensive insurance to safely transport residents to appointments and external programs
