Senior Study Manager

• Develop and deliver robust studies according to agreed budget, schedule and client expectations.
• Develop and maintain a study implementation plan, identify resource requirements, and coordinate input by various departments and external consultants as required.
• Support Business and Project Development activities through provision of targeted technical inputs and advice.
• Develop optimum value business cases that bring together commercial concepts and technical knowledge.
• Maintain consistently high-quality deliverables, in the form of study periodic reporting and study documents.
• Ensure standard documents and processes are implemented and continuously used.
• Ensure alignment of study estimates and execution plans with expected commercial and contracting models.
• Develop subsequent engineering/project tenders and proposals to ensure alignment with study intent.
• Comply with project development processes for invoicing, job opening, internal reporting and closing.
• Facilitate handover of studies and development work to the next phase (e.g. engineering, projects).
• Build client relationships and foster communication, and update CRM system (Salesforce), including new opportunities and documenting client feedback

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Process, Chemical, Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) or similar directly applicable technical qualification.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in two or more of the following areas: design, project development, project delivery, site operations/support (in coal or mineral processing); including 5 or more years’ continuous experience in a Study (or Project) Leader role.
• High level written and verbal communication skills.

Desired skills, knowledge and experience:

• Previous experience with a range of clients from junior miners to tier 1 organisations.
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of studies relating to minerals processing and metallurgical facilities.
• Experience in Commercial negotiations for services and large scale contract formation.
• Project planning software (Primevera and MS Project) capability
• Greenfield and brownfield project exposure.
