Role detailsThe Medical Imaging Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Advanced Radiographer - Clinical Educator and Quality to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunityThe position is responsible for the delivery of our health practitioner clinical education program and coordination of the department's quality management requirements.
The position requires a high level of clinical expertise and leadership with the following accountabilities:
- Demonstrate an advanced level of clinical skill, knowledge and experience across multiple areas of Medical Imaging in a hospital setting.
- Primarily responsible for management, co-ordination, and reporting of clinical education and role-specific competency activities for the health practitioner workforce.
- Primarily responsible for the Medical Imaging service response and actions to maintain accreditation (Diagnostic Imaging Accreditation Scheme (DIAS) and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) standards).
- Contribute to the advancement of quality medical imaging services and optimal patient care through provision of clinical service, leadership, quality improvement and clinical education.
Our Medical Imaging Department delivers a range of services including, General Radiography (CR) and (DR), Computed Tomography (CT) (Dual Source), Ultrasound, Theatre II, Interventional Fluoroscopy, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
