Clicks IT Recruitment is working with a Queensland Government department.
In this role, you will lead the planning and scheduling efforts for government projects, ensuring timely delivery, managing interdependencies, and providing expert guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role:
- 6 Months contract
- Brisbane, CBD location
- Hybrid - Work From Home & Office Weekly.
- Rates up to $1068 p/d inc super OR + GST
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and review planning and scheduling standards and best practices to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
- Provide expert guidance on planning and scheduling to facilitate successful project outcomes.
- Facilitate planning workshops to identify interdependencies and ensure proper project planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate timelines and dependencies are captured and tracked.
- Evaluate program schedule progress and performance, offering recommendations for corrective actions to meet deadlines.
- Identify and implement improvements to planning and scheduling processes.
- Maintain schedules aligned with industry best practices and program requirements.
- Map and monitor interdependencies to ensure proper consideration of logic and exclusivity.
- Provide proactive updates regarding resource supply and demand, identifying potential impacts.
- Ensure adherence to quality, health, and safety standards, maintaining high service and workplace standards.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with scheduling tools (MS Project/Project Online) to manage resources, dependencies, and project progress.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide strategic advice and progress reports to stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating planning workshops to assess project timelines and identify interdependencies.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across teams, influencing key stakeholders to support planning and scheduling efforts.
- High attention to detail, with the capability to spot issues in schedule design and implement best practice solutions.
