The Manager is responsible for the Project Delivery function and will manage centralised services to ensure timely deliverables aligned to ARWA's strategic direction. The Manger will develop and implement the Program Management Framework, responsibilities, and services across ARWA to ensure the successful delivery of various projects and programs. Reporting to the General Manager Program Delivery, the Manager is accountable for the management of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for operational support and reporting relating to ARWA's diverse programs of work. This includes, (but not limited to), the implementation of program blueprint, integration, risk, issue and inter-dependency management, resource forecasting, financial management and program reporting. The Manager is a member of the ARWA leadership team who will contribute ideas and activities to improve overall performance of program delivery.
The key duties of the position include
What you will do:
  • Develop the successful implementation of the PMO scope, strategy and services aligned to ARWA's strategic direction.
  • Establish performance management frameworks and standards for program management to ensure consistency across ARWA, including regular review and reporting.
  • Coordinate highly complex and sensitive projects and work programs with strategic, political, and/or operational significance.
  • Identify and manage specialist related risk within complex activities and issues.
  • Provide PMO subject matter expertise and build capability of others, through mentoring and coaching staff.
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve operational outcomes within budget and timeframes, demonstrating a high degree of judgement and decision-making.

Essential minimum requirements:
  • Extensive expertise delivering high value projects/programs with complex, and sometimes competing objectives, within a highly regulated industry/environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing multi-disciplinary teams with complex, highly technical objectives.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, in particular the demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports and briefings.
