Crown Resorts is a great place to visit and it’s an even better place to work, a place where you can play your part in creating joyful experiences for our guests and our people. We value passion, creativity, and an appetite for change - for the better. Here, you’ll be part of the team, empowered to explore more, experience more and supported by your leader to grow and develop.
The Role
The Senior People & Culture Advisor is a trusted partner and member of the P&C team, providing forward thinking, future insights and leadership guidance and advice to the Senior Leaders across our business units.
This role will effectively partner with the business with a focus on the case management portfolio, where grievances are escalated and managed outside the operational workstreams to ensure a focused investigation and outcome.
As part of Crown’s new “strategic business partnering model”, the case management function allows a detailed, focused and streamlined approach to the management of grievances and complaints in a supportive, collaborative and engaged broader team environment.
Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a professional, non-biased and well-informed process guide to each case presented for investigation.
- Understand the broader implications of the breach of policy and procedure and the interface with potential complaints/grievances, and work with the business partners to identify trends.
- Provide professional, business-focused people and culture services to senior leaders in allocated portfolio.
- Develop and facilitate training to People Leaders to effectively manage performance management issues and employee discipline matters in line with Crown’s relevant policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders and build influential partnerships with senior leaders to mitigate potential higher level grievances.
- Provide input in the review of policies, procedures SOPs, templates and other related documents.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of projects, programmes and procedures that support the strategic direction of the wider People & Culture Team.
About you
- A demonstrated exposure to and carriage of grievances as part of a generalist HR/P&C role.
- Proven Business Partnering or HR Advisor experience.
- Experience in working with Senior Leaders to raise awareness and understanding around “people leadership” (and where it is feasible to put “people before process”).
- A continuous improvement mindset and desire to be a change agent to make a positive difference.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current legislation including Industrial Relations and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- A knowledge of Fair Work legislation and processes, and the inter-relationship with a preventative P&C workplace commitment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands.
