About The Team
Murdoch University’s International Office plays a key role in attracting international students and promoting the University’s global presence. Through extensive offshore marketing and the development of strong international networks, the team works closely with students, education agents, institutions, industry partners, media, and government bodies both in Australia and around the world to enhance Murdoch’s brand and profile.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Manager, International Relations and Programs, the Study Abroad Assistant provides essential support to non-award international students participating in one- or two-semester study abroad programs at Murdoch University. This role primarily focuses on supporting international mobility students who are not pursuing a full degree at the University, with occasional collaboration across the broader International Relations team.
Your Key responsibilities will include –

  • Support international students with enrolment, welfare, and program activities.
  • Coordinate events like orientation and social programming.
  • Assist with marketing and foster a positive team culture.

This casual role attracts a competitive casual rate of HEW0404, $45 p/hr – $49 p/hr inclusive of 25% casual loading plus 11.5% employer superannuation contributions.

Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Vocational Education and Training or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • communication, customer service, and relationship-building abilities.
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team.
