The Role
The Safety Officer will work with all levels of business, with a primary focus to provide operational safety support in the areas of Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Mental Fitness for the business's successful operation. This role will focus on the communication of CE Group's HSEQ procedures and current legislative requirements to ensure a safe working environment is provided for all employees and stakeholders. This will suit someone who has a genuine passion for safety and wants to play a role in helping develop a culture of safety ownership, awareness and leadership across the business.
The Position:

• Support the development of a safety culture by focusing on people and systems
• Establishing relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve positive safety outcomes
• Will support construction projects in every facet of HSEQ, from initiation to completion
• Conduct internal audits and assist personnel to carry out their work with safe work practices
• Ensure all onsite safety procedures are communicated and adopted by all working personnel including site visits and toolbox talks
• Assist in the development, and implementation of improvement strategies in regard to workplace health, environment and safety
• Assist in the review and implementation of HSEQ Management Plans
• Assist in the completion of incident investigations, execute close outs and associated reporting requirements
• Provide advice and service to all areas of the construction operations in the field of Workplace Health, Safety, Environments, and Quality.

This role will require the applicant to travel to work sites in and around the operational regions.

• You have knowledge of the Electrical industry in either qualification or experience
• You possess strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Legislation

• Trainer Assessor certification will be looked upon favourably
