As they continue to grow, our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior HR Manager to lead their HR strategy, working alongside their exceptional Chief People Officer (CPO).
About the Role: The Senior HR Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s HR strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving an exceptional culture of performance and innovation. Reporting directly to the CPO – who brings a high-intensity, high-performance lens from her extensive background in both HR leadership and professional sport – you will serve as the second in charge within the HR function, providing leadership to a talented HR team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the HR team, driving the development and execution of HR strategies that align with company goals and drive business success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CPO and senior leadership, partnering on strategic initiatives and providing expertise on HR matters.
  • Oversee the full talent acquisition lifecycle, ensuring the attraction and recruitment of top-tier talent in line with company growth and innovation needs.
  • Design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies that foster a high-performance, inclusive, and innovative workplace.
  • Develop leadership programs to ensure the continuous growth and development of leaders, with a focus on succession planning and high-potential talent.
  • Oversee performance management processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives, while nurturing individual and team development.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and fostering a culture of fairness and respect.
  • Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits structures to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Lead organisational development initiatives, driving continuous improvement and change management strategies in a high-growth, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with the CPO to refine and evolve the company’s HR strategy to support rapid scale and the development of groundbreaking technologies.
  • Ensure best practice HR policies and practices are in place, regularly reviewing and improving systems to keep pace with industry trends.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with significant experience in strategy development and team management.
  • Expertise in all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, and organisational development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-intensity environments, with a particular preference for experience in technology or defence sectors.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align HR initiatives with broader business objectives and contribute to the company’s long-term strategy.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • A deep understanding of HR compliance and best practices, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • A passion for driving high performance, innovation, and the development of exceptional talent.
