About the Role:
The Senior Track Performance Engineer is responsible for the collection, analysis, integrity, and reporting of data gathered through Loram’s track inspection and other services. You will work closely with customers and other teams to ensure that this data, combined with other available information, leads to effective decision-making and production quality. You will also coordinate product assurance programs, ensuring Loram’s products and services continue to meet and exceed customer needs.
This senior role involves both tactical oversight and technical leadership, requiring you to drive industry standards, optimise Loram’s product offerings, and provide expert advice on quality assurance. You will have the opportunity to represent Loram at industry events and play a key role in shaping the future of railway infrastructure maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: Recommend innovative methods and procedures to solve technical problems and seize market opportunities. Lead technical developments within the industry, reviewing technical publications, participating in industry events, and raising Loram’s profile in the marketplace.
- Quality Assurance: Advise on new product quality assurance, identifying and resolving issues to optimise operations. Analyse production anomalies, monitor key performance indicators, and work with management to find solutions.
- Industry Leadership: Influence rail industry standards and regulations, leading industry associations to foster advancements in technology and practices.
- Business & Customer Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers, helping them identify opportunities and supporting their efforts to expand budgets for Loram’s products and services. Provide expert guidance on track inspections, studies, and the application of Loram’s solutions.
- Reporting & Analysis: Develop analytical techniques and reports to demonstrate the quality and effectiveness of Loram’s services. Present at industry events to position Loram as an intellectual leader in the rail sector.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Engineering, or Data Science.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years working with technical aspects of track performance, with experience in customer-facing roles.
- Certifications: Rail safety training and certifications are required.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in analysing and interpreting technical reports and data, with a focus on quality assurance and performance optimisation.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence and lead teams, both internally and in industry settings.
- Driver’s Licence: A current C-Class driver’s licence is mandatory.
