DescriptionEIC Activities is currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the growth of our Mechanical and Electrical engineering portfolio.
The role is focused on working with various project teams and delivery partners from the earliest pre-bid, project establishment, and delivery phases where opportunities to innovate, mitigate risk, and add value are strongest.
As part of the team, you will provide a competitive advantage for tenders and projects, generate value for clients, and leverage the CIMIC Group’s collective experience, technical capabilities, and leading technologies.
The role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- 8+ years’ experience in engineering consulting or construction design in the transport infrastructure, industrial, resources and/or building sectors
- Experience in building services design for wet and dry fire, HVAC and hydraulics.
- Demonstrated breadth and/or depth of mechanical engineering technical knowledge
- Experience in design on D&C, PPP or Alliance projects
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and propose creative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
- Excellent technical risk identification skills and the ability to drive compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Given the nature of the position, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may be an inherent requirement of this role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist mechanical engineering assignments undertaken by EIC Activities
- Recommend design methods, specifications, performance, or functional requirements to drive effective and efficient solutions
- Challenge design solutions to deliver value for CIMIC Group Companies
- Support learning and sharing of knowledge through the CIMIC Mechanical engineering community of practice
