Today we help government and law enforcement, enterprises, and managed security services providers around the world to illuminate deep and dark web threats and prevent attacks.

ABOUT THE POSITION

By joining our growing engineering team at Assetnote as a Security Researcher, you will be responsible for the discovery, research and maintenance of security vulnerabilities affecting our customer base, that are discovered by our Continuous Security Platform.

In this role, you must both be proactive in discovering new vulnerabilities, but also reactive to adding vulnerabilities released on the internet for products our customers may be using. This role requires that you are confident with source code analysis, web application security and performing independent security research.

The security research and engineering work done in this role have a positive impact to the effectiveness of Assetnote's Continuous Security Platform. Developing and implementing these checks will make our platform more effective for all of our customers.


WHAT WILL I DO?

  • Performing original security research through source code analysis to identify vulnerabilities in software that may be in use by our customers
  • Keeping up with research, PoCs and exploits released on the internet, and creating checks for these for our platform
  • Writing security checks in Golang/Python that can be applied across an entire attack surface for high-signal vulnerability discovery
  • Identifying emerging threats and correlating them to which customers may be affected by them in order to proactively notify them about vulnerabilities
  • Working as a part of a high-performing team on challenging problems


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Proven experience in reverse engineering,
  • Experience in binary exploitation
  • Experience with source code analysis tools, debuggers and similar tools
  • Familiarity with a variety of software languages, such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript etc.
  • Understanding of relevant protocols used in modern software
  • Experience acting as a subject matter expert, discovering new vulnerabilities and creating a variety of reports and content for dissemination to various sources
