The opportunity

The Food and Beverage Senior Coordinator is a multifaceted role which requires someone who is skilled and experienced in the operational side of a hospitality business and has the creative flare to create a menu that can cater to the masses!
At Lake Mountain Alpine Resort, we are looking for a Food and Beverage Senior Coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Bistro, which includes supervising a small team, rostering, inventory management and ensuring a profitable and efficient operation.
In addition to overseeing the daily operations of the Bistro, we are looking for someone who can suggest, create and implement some fast healthy options to go with the popular menu items like 'hot chippies'. With up to 5,000 guests coming through the resort gates on a busy day, that could mean a lot of hungry bellies to feed! To assist with the preparation and delivery of the menu, The Food and Beverage Senior Coordinator, will have kitchen hands and front of house staff.
This role requires someone who is capable of leading and motivating a team to ensure that each member of the food and beverage team provides a high level of guest satisfaction.
The Food and Beverage Senior Coordinator takes direction from the Lake Mountain Head of Visitor Experience.

The key accountabilities are:
  • Provides guidance for others in the work area and/ or related areas.
  • Manages budget and resources for the work area
  • Assesses and responds to policy and process changes in the work area
  • Identifies and applies developments within professional field to problem solving within the work area
What amazing skills and experience will score you this role?
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Hospitality
  • Minimum 1 year experience leading/managing a Food and Beverage team.
  • Cert III or IV in Cookery or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Provide communication guidance and position relevant training to less experienced colleagues
  • Prepare complex operational reports requiring in-depth factual analysis
  • Communicate professional/ technical concepts and advice.
  • Plans and conducts narrowly scoped projects and contributes to planning on large projects
The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Have full Australian working rights. International applicants are required to obtain their own visa with valid Australian work rights.
  • Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
  • Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred)
  • Satisfactorily pass a police check and random drug & alcohol tests.
  • Available to work weekends and school holidays.
  • Available from April to 30 September (or the declared snow season)

Salary: $53.24 p/h including casual loading
