Due to strong organisational growth, Burbank is now looking for an Estimating Team Leader to lead their sales and production estimating teams.
Role Overview
Based in Adelaide and reporting to the State Operations Manager, this role is responsible for providing leadership to the estimating services team and drive estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the coordination of the Estimating Team’s targets and workflow;
- Managing estimating workflow, forecasts and output and continuously contributing to improvement of tender based language, items and disclaimers;
- Contributing to the assessment of processes and efficiency and identifying any areas for improvement;
- Ensuring procedures and checklists are established and used for all functions and maintain full compliance with company standards;
- Maintaining the quality of all estimating work and monitoring margins;
- Mentoring, training and developing Sales and Production Estimators- providing support where required;
The successful candidate must have prior experience in sales estimating and BOQ preparation along with a solid understanding of construction methods, the NCC and Australian standards. You must have proven skills in plan checking and material take-offs, possess good knowledge through all facets of volume residential construction and are able to maintain a high level of accuracy with bill creation and item quantities. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders whilst leading a team.
