The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Manager Inclusion, this role is key to delivering impactful inclusive initiatives and projects while supporting the ongoing development of inclusive practices for sport at UWA. With a strong focus on diversity and increasing participation opportunities among underrepresented groups, including the LGBTQIA+ community, culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) people, gender equity in sport, Indigenous Australians, people with disability and regional and remote communities. You will play a vital role in fostering a more welcoming and accessible sporting environment
As part of the student sport team, you will collaborate closely with other sport coordinators to ensure alignment and synergy in program delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating safe, welcoming and inclusive initiatives , programs and events, while also contributing to the continued growth and advancement of inclusion in sport at UWA.
About You
- You have a demonstrated passion and ability to engage underrepresented groups and deliver inclusive sporting initiatives.
- With experience in designing and delivering initiatives for these groups in sport, health and/or community environments.
- You have strong project and program coordination skills, including planning, implementing, scheduling, troubleshooting and decision-making.
- The ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and build essential partnerships.
- Additionally, you have well-developed communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills. The ability to work within budget, strong analytical skills, including researching and reporting, with the ability to contribute to obtaining successful grants.

- Relevant degree or diploma within, but not limited to, sport and/or inclusion and diversity, health promotion or community development.
- First Aid Certificate
