Job Description:Our client is a leading Civil Construction company specialising in roadworks and infrastructure projects. They are committed to providing high-quality services while ensuring the safety and well-being of their workforce.
They are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Site Supervisor/Machine Operator to join their team for the installation of guardrails on various road projects.
As the Site Supervisor you will be responsible for driving and delivering the project on site. You will be required to operate the mini pile driver machine installing guardrail posts, which allows the rest of the team to complete the barrier installation behind them.
When completing other types of barriers, such as wire rope safety barriers, you will be required to coordinate installation including construction of the post footings by auger on an excavator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Health and Safety on project sites.
- Operating critical plant and equipment to complete the project.
- Setting out and measurement of the works.
- Observing all health and safety, environmental, industrial relations/fair work and quality requirements and statutory rules, site rules and regulations.
- Alert Project Manager of any deviations to plans, site issues or team management problems as they arise,
- Completing required prestart documentation, toolbox talks and installation records to be submitted to the Project Manager.
- Investigating hazard reports and ensuring that corrective actions are undertaken
Key Requirements:
- White Card
- Heavy Vehicle License
- Excavator Ticket
- Show initiative, pride in work and attention to detail,
- Ability to work away and undertake overtime as required,
- Attend / complete mandatory training as required,
- Completing quality assurance documentation (ITP’s / checklists)
