About the Role
Our School is seeking a Primary French teacher to join our team at Plenty Campus, Doreen. This is a part time (0.4 FTE) position to commence Term 2, Monday, 21 April 2025 on a fixed-term contract which will conclude on Wednesday, 10 December 2025.

Your Everyday
Working closely with the Curriculum Leader and Head of Learning Area, the successful candidate will :

  • Deliver a dynamic and engaging French language program that aligns with evidence-based literacy practices and best approaches in language acquisition.
  • Foster student-centred learning through interactive and immersive strategies, incorporating storytelling, movement, music, and cultural exploration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven assessment tools, aligning with the school’s commitment to effective formative and summative assessment practices.
  • Actively contribute to Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) by collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development, student outcomes, and assessment consistency.
  • Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate French language learning within broader curriculum areas where appropriate.
  • Engage parents and the school community in the language learning journey through clear communication and involvement in events or student-led presentations.
  • Foster and provide for student wellbeing of our students.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative French Language Teacher to join our Primary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, evidence-based language instruction aligned with the science of learning and contemporary best practices in language acquisition. This role requires a strong ability to work within Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), contribute to whole-school assessment practices, and engage with students in a way that fosters curiosity and language confidence.

  • Suitably qualified and experienced in teaching Primary French
  • current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
  • excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students and colleagues
  • passionate about student learning and professional growth
  • personal resilience in managing multiple demands and timelines.
