Cyber Security Officer
SNSW Grade: 5/6 (base salary ranging from $88,123 - $100,708) per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Employment Type: Ongoing Full-time
Location : Haymarket / Parramatta. 2 days in office presence in line with DCS directive
This role sits within the SNSW Cyber Security Division in the SNSW Governance, Assurance Risk & Architecture team.
About the team
Our hardworking Cyber Security team is hard at work securing data for millions of NSW customers and ensuring that citizens can transact with the NSW government in a secure manner.
The Cyber Security Officer will assist in ensuring that Service NSW is complying with relevant security frameworks and that cyber security risks are managed appropriately.
Your day-to-day
•Assist with tasks relating to maintaining Service NSW ISO 27001 certification, working with relevant stakeholders across the organisation.
•Contribute to ensuring that Service NSW complies with relevant security frameworks such as the NSW Government Cyber Security Policy, Essential 8, ISO 27001 and NIST.
•Contribute to monitoring, reporting and improving Service NSW cyber security compliance posture by performing a range of activities including around third-party risk management.
•Assist the Governance, Assurance, Risk and Architecture team in delivering strategic and BAU initiatives involving infrastructure security, data loss prevention, network security, risk management, audit actions tracking and reporting etc.
•Provide a range of administrative and support services to the team to support day to day functions, continual improvement, and working collaboratively with teams across Cyber Security and Digital Services divisions within Service NSW.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
•Have a well-established understanding of various cyber security frameworks and policies such as NSW Cyber Security Policy, Essential 8, ISO27001 and NIST.
•Be across a broad range of ICT and cyber security technologies with a practical understanding of cloud environments such as AWS and Google Cloud Platform. Prior experience and understanding of containerisation technology will be highly regarded.
•Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, team members, and other relevant parties to gain feedback, consensus, and commitment around cyber initiatives.
•Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CISA will be highly regarded.
