About the role

As a Strategic Partners Manager, you will forge long-term partnerships with businesses, helping them optimise energy demand and transition to sustainable solutions. You will manage strategic accounts, strengthen existing relationships, and attract new customers. If you excel in engaging with C-suite executives, driving innovative solutions, and shaping business energy partnerships, this role is for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Expand Origin Zero’s customer base and build long-term strategic relationships.
- Manage key customer accounts, ensuring seamless, end-to-end energy solutions.
- Identify and secure high-value opportunities to drive business growth.
- Direct or support major proposals, acquisitions, and retention strategies.
What will you bring?
To excel in this role, you must be a strategic thinker capable of understanding long-term business objectives while effectively executing plans. A passion for Sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact are essential. You should possess innovative ideas and creative solutions to address energy challenges, coupled with a strong ability to engage and build trust with external senior stakeholders and internal speciality teams to deliver on customer solutions.
Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate:
- 7+ years of experience in B2B business development, with a strong focus on energy solutions and providing customer value.
- 5+ years’ experience in the energy sector, including expertise in commodity and non-commodity energy solutions (solar, BESS, demand flexibility, etc.).
- Understand customer value drivers and pain points and drive strategic sales methodologies towards all Origin solutions.
- You know how to build trust and influence decision-makers, executing on sales via value proposition plans.
- You can evaluate risks, create strong proposals, present to customers and drive value for customers and Origin Zero.
- Comfortable navigating complex challenges and shifting priorities.
- Passion for delivering value and tailored energy solutions.
- Effectively working across teams to drive outcomes.
- Accountability & Ownership, taking responsibility for actions and follows through on commitments.
- Work in a cross functional matrix organisation.
