The opportunity
The Royal Freemasons community is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to join our team.
As the Quality Manager at Royal Freemasons, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents.
This role is accountable for the ongoing development and evaluation of all components of the quality and risk management system will facilitate the process of continuous improvement in line with the Aged Care Standards and associated requirements for our aged care residences and community care across Victoria.
Key responsibilities
- Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating quality systems to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
- Establish and monitor quality procedures to meet all regulatory requirements
- Lead set meetings on quality and compliance matters relating to your audit and reviews each month
- Assist with organisational policies and protocols ensuring compliance within the relevant legislation
- Supporting the Facility Manager and multidisciplinary team to identify and analyse data on identified indicators and areas of risk.
- Where gaps are identified, create innovative solutions in collaboration with the site management and extended quality team which Facilitate mitigation strategies
- Provide advice and support to Residential Aged Care staff around Aged Care Quality Standards requirements, work alongside the teams assisting in the resident assessment process
Qualifications, knowledge and requirements required for the role
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including the new Aged Care Act 2025, Governing for Reform in Aged Care and the Support at Home program.
- Registered Quality Assessor
- Successful completion of the Aged Care Quality Assessor’s Course
Other requirements
A current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses).
It is a mandatory requirement when working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
All aged care workers are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and receive the Flu-Vaccine.
