  • Base salary will be in the range $113,377 to $127,112 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8) The total package may include an annual market loading amount in addition to the base salary, increasing your total remuneration dependant on skills and experience. This will be discussed as part of the interview process.

Are you ready to play a pivotal role in transforming HR systems and processes at one of Australia’s leading universities? As the Senior Principal HR Business Analyst, you will lead the way in delivering innovative business improvements, functional design, and expert system administration across UQ’s HR platforms.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key subject matter expert and functional analyst for the implementation of the UKG Pro Workforce Management solution with integration to Workday HCM as part of the MyTime@UQ Program. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and align with the University’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and joint functional analyst for the implementation of the UKG Pro Workforce Management solution, ensuring successful integration with UQ's broader HR systems, including Workday and Aurion.

  • Participate in UKG Pro solution design and testing activities, including script writing, execution, and maintenance, to support the adoption of system changes and business process improvements, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyse current state business processes, identify operational challenges, and design effective, long-term future solutions for clients.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and provide comprehensive documentation on system configurations, testing methods, and user requirements to ensure clarity and consistency in system usage and support.

About You
  • Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards completion) in HR, Business, IT, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in Workforce Management HRIS applications or equivalent professional experience.

  • Strong knowledge and experience in supporting and designing complex HR information systems, including UKG Pro and Workday HCM integrations.

  • Proven experience in leading or participating in HRIT projects, delivering end-to-end services to clients and driving successful outcomes.

  • A sound understanding of scheduling, timesheet, and payroll-related activities and processes, particularly within the higher education sector.

  • High-level analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, and influence stakeholders to deliver HRIT services and system improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships in complex stakeholder and policy environments, with experience in professional service delivery functions.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
