We’re growing our vibrant multidisciplinary team and are looking for motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Counsellors to join us in Gladstone. Considering relocating from interstate? We’ve got you covered with relocation assistance to make your move seamless!

As a Rehabilitation Counsellor at KINNECT, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping individuals recover from injury or illness, guiding them back to work and daily life. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to design and implement tailored rehabilitation plans that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Develop personalised rehabilitation plans aimed at achieving sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients to help them overcome barriers and build resilience.
  • Liaise with employers to design and implement suitable workplace modifications and accommodations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and rehabilitation efforts.
  • Monitor and review clients' progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records in compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

What You’ll bring
  • Professional membership or eligibility for membership with ASORC.
  • A genuine passion for helping others – recent graduates are welcome to apply!
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using case management software and other relevant IT tools.
  • A Full Clean driver’s license
