What You'll Do:
You will provide crucial financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organisation across a diverse range of tasks, primarily centred on the meticulous preparation of financial statements. Noting that accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness is key in ensuring the smooth operation of the financial processes.
You can expect to be involved in:
- Reconciling banking statements and accounts receivable.
- Maintaining the sales and general ledger, handling invoicing and charging processes.
- Checking invoices and overseeing their timely processing.
- Providing essential documentation for month-end journals.
- Managing accruals, prepayments, and related journals.
- Assisting in account analysis, coding, and reconciliations.
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and BAS statements for ATO lodgement.
- Contributing to FBT, Corporate Income Tax Returns, and financial report preparations.
- Collaborating on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting tasks.
- Ensuring meticulous document management, including filing and archiving.
- Upholding strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Team and addressing internal/external queries.
- Recording meeting minutes and handling administrative tasks efficiently.
- Assisting with process and system enhancements.
Who You Are:
You're an exceptional communicator who thrives in a team environment. Ideally, you'll have commenced your CA / CPA with intention to complete but you must have at least 18 months in an Assistant Accountant position with a good grounding in Financial Accounting.
This is a position that will provide you with significant development, so you'll be someone with a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to learn.
