The Role
Veracross is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Videographer / Content Creator to lead our global video and photography efforts. This role is pivotal in driving our brand presence and enhancing our engagement with K-12 private schools by developing and executing creative, on-brand video and animated content. The ideal candidate will have concept- to-execution experience creating video and photography content for corporate brands, leveraging this expertise to propel the Veracross portfolio of brands forward globally.
As our go-to Video / Photography guru, you will support local and global campaign efforts and oversee all aspects of video marketing. This would include working with our creative team on concept, storyboarding, script writing, through to arranging filming, shooting, editing and publishing video content. Other tasks can include corporate photography, supporting live stream webinars and managing our extensive video libraries across multiple brands.
Your role will involve collaborating with both local and international teams, including Marketing, Brand, Product Marketing and Sales to align content with growth goals. As part of a small global creative team, including a Director of Brand Communication, and a Senior Graphic Designer, this position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Hybrid Role – based in South East Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Northern NSW)
Travel expectation:
2-3 International trips (approximately 2 weeks each)
4-5 Domestic trips (generally overnight or same day returns)
Responsibilities
- Work closely with global and other in-region teams to develop and implement creative content ideas and concepts that align with our brand identity and growth goals.
- Produce engaging visuals and multimedia content that engages our target internal and external audiences
- Full ownership over video, photography, editing and animation for our multiple brands – a true concept-to-execution role. This includes ideation, story boarding, script writing, arranging film shoots, through to filming, editing and publishing.
- Liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to arrange film shoot locations and briefs.
- Administration of all video platforms, including WISTIA, YouTube and our internal learning system.
- Supporting our marketing and communications team with regular live-stream webinars.
Requirements
- Must have experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a content creator or similar role, preferably in an agency or corporate environment.
- Technical skills: Proficient with the use of photography and videography equipment, including lighting, soundand previous experience with DSLR cameras is essential, including setting up Zoom Webinars via live stream.
- Software skills: Working knowledge of Wistia, and Figma Advanced working skills of the Adobe Suite particularly Premier Pro, After Effects and Lightroom.
- Creative must-haves: Audience first approach to storytelling, ability to show your ideas visually at story boarding, be able to put a base script together which could be enhanced by our writers, deliver content at high levels of quality. Ability to animate basic motion graphics, experience animating characters within After Effects will be highly regarded.
- Soft skills: Self-starter, with the experience and ability to run and deliver projects autonomously. Valuable skills include time management, organisational skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with others.
- Industry experience: Experience working in an agency with corporate clientele, or within a corporate marketing department will be highly regarded.
- Marketing philosophy: Growth mindset and always looking for ways you can use your speciality to contribute to campaign success.
- Global environment: As the conduit between the region and global marketing teams, you’ll be required to attend some essential early morning, or evening calls each. These are kept to a minimum, with those working outside of their regular hours encouraged to manage their day to accommodate for work/life balance and the right to disconnect.
